Ethan's Birth Story
This blog post will be my most vulnerable post, by far. I am typing right now thinking that I probably won’t even post it, but I want to make it up in case I get the nerve to actually share this with the world. Ethan’s birth story. I want to back this up to round 1, with Ella.
Top 5 Podcasts
I discovered podcasts about a year ago. It was a life changer. Dishes aren’t nearly as dreadful to do when I can be entertained by a podcast at the same time! I also love to put one going on walks, car rides, anywhere really. Learn and do life at the same time?! Win-win. I used to say I would love to be a professional student (nerdy I know), but now I don’t have to, because there are so many podcasts, that you could learn almost anything you wanted to for FREE!! How awesome is that?!
Pre-Natal Care: Part 2
I’m back for part 2 of my pre-natal care blog. I got so wrapped up in supplements, that the first part was a little longer then anticipated. But that’s all right, I’m now 4 days overdue, so I have been given ample time to add to the first part, haha. Also, I take that to mean that I am passionate about this subject. And I am, I love talking about pregnancy and think that you DON’T have to suffer through it! And that’s what these posts are intended to deliver. Take care of yourself during pregnancy, and you can feel great! I’m not talking about sickness here, I am talking about aches and pains, soreness, headaches or low back pain. Almost every mom I’ve met has had some sort of pre-natal tension or pain at some point in their pregnancy. So, what can you do? Continue on to find out! Here are my 3 Must Have Therapies:
Pre-Natal Care: Part 1
I have been thinking about this post for awhile. I had an amazing pregnancy, and I wanted to share some of the reasons why. I felt good for the first two as well, but I had some extra knowledge this time that I believe helped. My story begins last fall.
Introducing...
One thing that has gotten me thinking is how you can feel better at home in between sessions. How can I help you achieve that? I can show you stretches (more coming on YouTube soon!) that will help to keep everything lengthened and feeling good, I can give you tips on how to feel better, but I can also offer products such as lotions or Essential Oils to help relieve stress, pain, tension while we aren't together.
Massage for Athletes
I can't believe fall sports are back to practice this week! It brings back many memories of days spent in the gym on those hot August days. I love volleyball and can't wait to catch a few games this fall.
Self-Love Menu
Have you ever heard of a Self-Love Menu? I hadn't until a couple of weeks ago, but I love it! Basically, it's a menu of all of -or a few of- the things that you do to love yourself. I can't remember exactly where I saw it, but they recommended starting with a list of 10 things. In my head, I was like "Oh! That'll be easy!" Yeah, not so much. It was actually harder then I anticipated.
The Power of Touch
Touch is very powerful, both bad and good. I want to discuss the power of touch in a healthy, loving environment. Did you know that to thrive in relationships, as a baby, or as a child touch is SO important? The smallest touch can activate those reward centers in the brain and make us feel better. We feel happier, safer, more confident, more soothed and more connected.
Let's Combat Headaches Together
Did you know? More people complain about headaches than any other medical ailment.
There are approximately 45 million Americans complaining of headaches each year. That works out to about one in every six people.
Customized Care
If you've ever checked out my website, you know that I have a lot of different services to choose from. For some of you, that might be over stimulating and you may wonder "How do I know which one to pick?!"
5 Things You Should Believe
Hey you! Have you ever gotten into a massage and then freaked out internally because you might have forgotten to shave, or shower before you come?!
If so, read this. This is a list of 5 things that I wish you would believe when I tell you. I am serious, I mean it! Just relax, don't stress!
Combined Therapies
I recommend a few different things after you receive a massage including drinking water, stretching, icing at times. But that list is missing one big one for me. Chiropractic care. Chiropractic Care is one of the best therapies to combine with Massage Therapy. Over the years I have seen many many clients progress their healing much more quickly when they get both chiropractic and massage.
Come Back? When?
Today, I want to talk about rescheduling massages. This is meant to help you feel better about why I recommend you come back when I do.
Inspiration
Hey, Hey! It's been awhile! I lost my inspiration for a bit there. In my head, I have been blaming it on this pregnancy (Yes, I'm pregnant with #3!), but really it's been an internal battle.
Tension Headaches
I know a lot of people who suffer from headaches on a daily basis and just deal with it. You don’t need to suffer with headaches day in and day out. Tension headaches are the most common type of headache, and massage is a very useful tool to help break up those dense tissues causing the tension in the first place.
